Paul Klee: Every grade I taught had a lesson based on Paul Klee, the artist of the year. For the Kindergarten classes, their lesson was based on a piece titled "The Park Bei Lu" and focused on teaching students how to make different types of lines and how to make a resist using crayons and watercolor paints or water based markers. As all of student teaching was virtual, some of the photos of the students' work is blurry due to their cameras.

Harold and the Purple Crayon: The second lesson I taught continued on the theme of lines and focused on practicing using one color to tell a story. The students listened to the story before beginning the project. The students drew their journey to school or what their trip to school would be like in a non-covid scenario and then added in landscape details they might see that were also drawn in the book.
