Paul Klee: Second graders learned about the piece "Senecio" and practiced making geometric shapes and coloring them in the primary and secondary colors they learned about earlier in the year. The students then practiced their scissor skills and cut them out and used their houses as background landscapes for their photographs.

Animals and Texture: Students discussed their favorite animals and defined what texture is. Students then worked in class practicing to draw different textures and interpreting them through a two dimensional medium. They then practiced drawing their favorite animals and using their drawings to represent what it would feel like to pet them.

Snow Globes and Perspective: Students leaned about distance and perspective in art and practiced drawing a two dimensional snow globe that had three different trees in it each one drawn to appear farther away then the previous one. Students were able to decorate and design their snow globes however they chose. Students were able to practice drawing perspective and distance in class and complete their project afterwards.
